bushclass – improvised metal cooking implement

My first entry into Bushclass is for the improvised cooking implement made out of metal.

I took a stainless steel bain marie pot and a mis-matched lid (for another brand, doesn’t fit), some picture hangers and 14ga. galvanized wire and made a hanging pot/billy can out of it.

First major step was making the lid fit. I used the hammer side of my Cold Steel Trail Hawk to bang out the rim of the lid until it fit around the brim of the pot. Then I used JB Weld to fix the picture hangers, one on each side, and made bails out of the galvanized wire. It’s been used 3 or 4 times now and it works well.
